Hello and Happy Memorial Day everyone! I didn’t mean to take off so much time from the blog but boy, life had been crazy! Mostly dealing with a crazy work schedule, the woes of a growing business as well as teenage kids, college, and  Senior year activities, but its all good!

The weather here in NJ has finally warmed up a bit and I finally feel inspired to get to work on our patio. Plants have been purchased and some even made it into pots before my family came over for an impromptu BBQ today. If you’re like me and have yet to plant your containers, why don’t you try something different this year?

Here is some inspiration featuring some of my favorites plants… Coleus, Succulents and Silver Falls.

If you are not familiar with this silvery cascading annual, it is called SILVER FALLS DICHONDRA.  Easy to grow 3-4 inch tall cascading annuals carry velvety soft fan-shaped silvery foliage which can spread 3-5 feet across. Very showy, it makes dramatic hanging baskets or an excellent temporary ground cover. Heat and drought tolerant, it needs only sun and well-drained soil to thrive.

Happy planting!

I’ll be back soon to share some photos of the Perennials & Roses in bloom at my house… Get out there and enjoy this gorgeous weather!
