Just popping in for a quick post before I leave for Atlanta..

I get a little excited when I get new lamps (either for my own home or for my Staging inventory) and who can blame me?

Lamps are not only essential to  well-lit room, but they also make a big impact on a home’s overall look and feel. Every room needs a combination of general lighting, task lighting and accent lighting to set a mood. Yet, over and over I see one home after another where lamps are non existent or very dated or mismatched.

For $100 or less, you can give a fresh look to your existing space with a pair of new lamps. Some of my favorites sources for inexpensive lamps are HomeGoods, JC Penney and Target.

Today’s styles lean towards oversized and a little Mid Century Modern so thrift stores are also a great place to score lamps for a fraction of what you’d pay new.

This came home with me last week after I visited a new thrift store and the best part was even the lamp shade was perfect and exactly what I wanted.. The price $18!

I’m not quite sure what I will do to the wood base at the bottom yet.. Paint it white or maybe brass? What do you think?

Till next time! I’ll be back with lots of photos to share from AmericasMart. You can follow along on Instagram or Facebook if you don’t want to miss anything… Have a good week everyone!
