The past 10 days have been stressful to say the least, but I’m happy to say, things are looking up and I’m ready to get back into the swing of things… Our power is back on as of Monday night and boy does it feel good!
This morning we woke up to our first snowstorm of the year and even though this is the last thing we needed around here, it does looks beautiful. It has also put me in the mood to start thinking of the upcoming holidays.
So, first on the agenda is getting rid of everything Halloween related (it was cancelled for the 2nd year in a row due to Sandy) and clean up the yard. I don’t know where the time has gone!
My flower boxes look really sad and this is definitely first on the list. Some of my favorites…

I have a staging project this Friday that has been put on hold for a couple of weeks due to Sandy, and after that it’s time to focus on my own home, which sadly has been neglected as of late.
Do you  bother to plant winter hardy plants in your window box or just leave your window boxes bare?
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day everyone!
