Happy Saturday! Hope everyone is enjoying this great late summer weather, I know I am!

Just for the record, I did start painting my french doors black but still have the other side to do. I’m hoping to share some pictures soon…

What do you say, we talk about kitchens today?

I’m not a “Cookie Cutter” kitchen kinda gal. When we put in a new kitchen 5 years ago I decided to go with a classic white Shaker cabinet and at the last minute added some warm yellow cabinets one one side. I figured if I got tired of the yellow, they could easily be painted to match the white.  I still love it!

In my line of work I come across a lot of kitchens that are beautiful but a little safe. I  stumbled upon  some great kitchens this week (full of color and personality) and I’d love to share them with you!

Turquoise stools, yellow island and a fabulous-ly fun pendant light fixture make this one a winner in my book!

House To Home

I think this floor is so awesome and that gas station sign is pretty cool too. Definitely not cookie cutter!

This kitchen has “Charm” written all over it with the beadboard ceiling, vintage wallpaper and Jadeite dish collection.

A kitchen island or peninsula is a great way to add color to an otherwise neutral kitchen, and it’s less commitment in case you change your mind.

Cornflower blue…

 Or sunny yellow…

A gorgeous gray…

Or black…
