This week I spent a couple of hours with a decorating client looking for a round (casual) dining room table for her kitchen. She wanted to start at her local Macy’s Furniture Gallery and Raymour & Flanigan. Not a fan of either and let’s just say, not much there and the selection was dismal…
She was unsure of how a round table would look in her space and I had to pull up a lot of inspiration photos to convince her. A narrow room would not accommodate a round table but hers would be going in a large area in her kitchen and size didn’t matter as much as style & finish.
Some of my favorites…
Love everything about this room especially the light fixture.
This is an example of a tight space where a round table works perfectly.
This huge round table seats 10 and is perfect for conversation.
These 4 choices all have one thing in common (the upholstered chairs) and even though this does not work in a kitchen, it’s perfect in a dining room.
For a more family friendly room, I love these choices.
This is so easy to create with thrift stores chairs painted in bright yellow and an inexpensive Overstock Chevron rug.
If you love the look but don’t have the space or the need for a large table, West Elm has some other great options.
In a trendy Espresso wood finish.
Do you like round dining tables or feel more comfortable with a rectangular or oval table?
